It was late and cold with the day's slush again beginning to congeal to the streets and the tires, the post-movie restlessness had begun to settle in, and it was the perfect opportunity to check out a legendary greasy hang-out in central Denver.
This image should be familiar to its regulars, the golden crown on the menu a tribute to the insanely malty ice cream drink we shared that evening. The Breakfast King is no lightweight in the diner scene, and finally I've had my taste.
